Customer Profile:
Our customer is a private research university that is the flagship for its system. The 314 acre campus includes fourteen colleges, centers, and schools, including a 5-story Library, Research and Information Technology center and a state-of-the-art, multi-purpose sports and recreation complex, along with residence halls, cafeterias, labs, athletic fields and grounds.
The Problem:
The customer needed a service provider that could satisfy the expectations of a young student population studying in numerous areas, meaning clean dorms and classrooms, attractive well-kept grounds, and sanitary food service and bathroom facilities. It equally needed to ensure the hospital grade sanitation required in the clinic and lab environments of its highly respected Health Professions Division. This Division includes its College of Dental Medicine, College of Allopathic and Osteopathic Medicine and its human and marine Biological and Biomedical Sciences.
The Engagement:
With Encompass’ wide range of capabilities, the university was able to consolidate its services from many, disparate vendors to a single provider who could do it all. This allowed the school to achieve considerable savings as a result of our ability to demonstrate economies of scale as well as consistency and integration of services. It gave them a single source to hold accountable for reliability, responsiveness and quality control.
Encompass was able to provide our customer with the attention that it deserved and required as well as ensuring direct access to the owner of our company on demand.
Perhaps most importantly, we brought a level of innovation and technology that could not be found elsewhere, something that was highly valued by this respected research institute.

As a result, we have been able to provide the campus with exclusive access to proprietary technology such as H3O, a non-chemical, non-toxic cleaner that exceeds EPA, USDA, WHO and OSHA standards, while cutting chemical costs and physical labor. Through our proprietary Encompass One platform, we are able to provide unparalleled work ticket management and inspection technology.
Additionally, we’ve embedded a safety culture in everything we do, keeping employees and students safe and healthy. We have also demonstrated our long term commitment to our customer by supporting and donating to causes that are of importance to the university, its faculty, its support staff and its student body.
Results:
As a result of our excellent relationship, we have enjoyed continuous expansion of our involvement with the university. We now provide technicians to maintain the dental equipment at the dental school, as well as ensuring that the facilities are hygienic.
Additionally, we were awarded the contract for the private golf course the university owns, one often used as a movie location due to its beautiful grounds.
And recently, a professional women's soccer franchise chose this campus as their home field. By virtue of our relationship with the university, we were awarded the contract to provide services for the team
